I haven’t been a big fan of Salmon until I tried this one. I look forward to the nights I have it for dinner!

We received our fish last Thursday — one whole salmon (about 11 lbs) and a half fillet (4 lbs). It arrived very fresh and was extremely well packaged. Although it was left outside for about 4 hours, the ice packs were still frozen solid when we opened the box.

The fish was high quality. We enjoyed it several ways: raw, in a soup, and pan-seared — and every preparation was absolutely delicious. Very impressed with the freshness and flavor.

I tend to always get 2-3 fillets at a time during sales. They're good color. I use the heavy meat section to make cure for sushi. I definitely like this better than wild salmon, due to more fat content. I can also vouch that sushi restaurants order from Bakkafrost for their fish--we have a friend that constantly delivers us the heads afterwards! We use that and the bones to make soup afterwards.

Practical portion-packed salmon meal, for the single person as well as the family.

I always portion the salmon, wrap and freeze as soon as it arrives, My husband and I each had a taste before freezing and were very pleased with its flavour. My salmon arrived promptly midday on Wednesday but I was a little disappointed as it only had one ice pack within the natural wool wrap which had completely thawed. I was wary of ordering during such a hot summer and the fact that the parcel had to travel so far to the south east of England, but remembering that my last delivery had the two ice packs, I hoped all would be well. It does seem okay but I will not risk it again in the summer months.

This is the best salmon I’ve ever had. The individually wrapped pieces are super convenient. I live in Florida and was worried about the shipping with the heat, but everything came expertly packed and still frozen! Will be ordering from here again.

Great salmon. We have now bought six sides of it and it is the same high quality as previously. We tried numerous different whole sides of salmon from all over Scotland, but this is the best by far as it has the perfect taste and texture. Only just today, our guests at our B&B on Skye remarked that this was the best they had tasted in numerous visits to Scotland and Ireland.
